Dr. Joe Pocher joined the staff at Framingham Animal Hospital in the fall of 2023. He grew up in Natick and has known since he was in third grade that he wanted to be a veterinarian. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Animal Science, he went on to attend vet school, graduating from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2003.

Since graduating from vet school, Dr. Pocher has been honing his veterinary skills, working at various small animal practices throughout Massachusetts. He also taught surgical skills to third- and fourth-year veterinary students at the Luke and Lily Lerner Spay/Neuter Clinic at Tufts.

His seasoned pedagogical skills and considerable patience are reflected in Dr. Pocher’s thorough diagnostics and meticulous explanations to clients.

Dr. Pocher has two grown sons, Calvin and Lucas, and shares his home with his wife, Ginger, and their two dogs, Sookie and Syd, along with two snakes and a turtle. When he’s not working, Dr. Pocher enjoys hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors.
