Sparky Su Cahill, a Jack Russell Terrier, died Sunday June 21, 2015 after a final week of battling a rapidly growing brain tumor. Born in the Spring of 1998, little is known of her early life. She was found living on her own by an animal control officer in September, 1999. With no ID and no one claiming her she was turned over to Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury MA, where she was adopted on September 29, 1999 by the Cahill family of Framingham. Quite the little homemaker, she would sit on the bed while it was being made, taste-test the water that flowed into the washing machine, bark instructions to the vacuum cleaner, and help scrape the dinner dishes. In her spare time she enjoyed digging in the garden, and having fun with her human family. As her eyesight began to fail she gave up her domestic chores and became a full-time lapdog.

Her passing is mourned by her human parents Thomas and Virginia Cahill, her “sister” and brother-in-law Catherine and Christopher Kelly both currently residing in Germany, and her neighborhood friends Belvedere, Tanner, Rain and Tiberius, also her paw-penpal Mimi of Dallas, TX. Anyone wishing to honor Sparky Su’s memory is asked to make a small donation to the animal welfare organization of your choice.
