Dr. Susan Rabaut
Dr. Rabaut graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. In 1975 she became the owner of Framingham Animal Hospital after purchasing it from Dr. Greene. For years she was active in the Mass Veterinary Medical Association, serving on several committees, and she was President of the Association in 1999. She was the recipient of the MVMA Distinguished Service Award in 1999 and the Tufts University Henry Childers Award for her educational contributions to Tufts veterinary students in 2006. In June of 2018, she celebrated 50 years in practice. Her goal in the future is to continue sharing her extensive veterinary experience and skills with her associates as they take over more of the active caseloads at the practice.
Dr. Rabaut loves all outdoor activities, winter and summer, especially the “quiet” sports. She also has a large family, including 20 nieces and nephews, 9 nieces and nephews in-law, and 19 great nieces and nephews. In the coming years, Dr. Rabaut will be spending more time away to enjoy them all in person.
Dr. Beth Yagodzinski
Dr. Yagodzinski graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2001. She then went to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2005. After graduating, she worked for a year-and-a-half at a two-doctor small animal practice. Dr. Yagodzinski joined Framingham Animal Hospital in August 2006. She lives with her husband Mike, their two children, and their four-legged “children”: her dogs, Boomer and Acadia, and a cat named Flutie.
Dr. Amanda Tichy
Dr. Tichy grew up in Norwich, Connecticut. She received her BS in biology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2008, and her DVM from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. In May of 2014, she got her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) from the Chi Institute. Her interests in veterinary medicine include diagnostic ultrasound and working with small mammal exotics, including rabbits and guinea pigs. Dr. Tichy enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and cooking. She currently lives in Stow with her husband Mike, her daughter Jane Valencia, and their 3 cats: Johnny Cash, Amarula, and Freddy Mercury.
Dr. Ellen Brady
Dr. Brady grew up on a farm in Enosburg Falls, Vermont. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Animal Science and Biological Sciences, then attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University and graduated in 2002. After graduation, she worked at a mixed animal practice in Pulaski, New York–where she doctored horses, cows, pigs, cats, and dogs–before deciding to focus on small animals exclusively. Dr. Brady practiced at a small animal clinic in Lexington, Massachusetts for 13 years prior to joining FAH in July of 2016. Dr Brady lives with her husband Paul, their two daughters, and their cats Cyrus and Robert.
Dr. Christine Rabaut
Dr. Christine Rabaut (aka “Dr. C”)
Dr. C is Medical Director at FAH and graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in zoology and a minor in sociology. She is a graduate of Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Susan Rabaut’s niece, Dr. C. brings a love of animals and the outdoors. Professionally, she is especially interested in surgery and animal dentistry. Dr. C. joined FAH in August 2016 and lives in Bolton with her husband Brad and their two dogs, Nora and Harry, and their two cats, Taloose and Bean.
Dr. Jenny Liu
Dr. Jenny Liu graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She started her career practicing on all creatures, great and small. Over time there was a gradual transition to small animal medicine.
She completed her acupuncture training at the Chi Institute (now Chi University) in 2004. She has training in herbal medicine, food therapy and Tui Na (traditional Chinese Medical massage). In 2018, Dr. Liu completed her Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). She currently serves as lab assistant, teaching acupuncture to new students at Chi University. Her special interest is practicing integrative medicine – striving to offer the best of what Western & Eastern medicine has to offer.
Dr. Liu also has a BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design. In her spare time, she enjoys dabbling in art, yoga, and whatever piques her fancy. She lives with a mischievous orange cat.
Dr. Leah Levenson
Dr. Levenson is our newest veterinarian. She joined the team at FAH in the spring of 2024, but she’s been coming here as a client since she was a teenager, when she would visit Dr. Rabaut with her parents and their family pets. In high school, Dr. Levenson volunteered at the Natick Community Organic Farm, where she cultivated a love for agriculture, which is reflected in her degree in Livestock Sciences from Delaware Valley College in 2012.
Got Milk?
After college, Dr. Levenson worked as a Herd Health Manager on a 10,000-cow dairy farm, where she learned that milk is good food and there’s no use crying over spilt milk. There, she also established that her favorite breed of cattle is Jersey.
Dr. Levenson attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent her clinical year at Louisiana State University, graduating in 2023. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and diagnostics.
Currently residing in Hopkinton with her partner, Molly, and rescue cats, Sansa and Zelda, Dr. Levenson spends her spare time watching Dr. Who and Star Trek and playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
Dr. Joe Pocher
Dr. Joe Pocher joined the staff at Framingham Animal Hospital in the fall of 2023. He grew up in Natick and has known since he was in third grade that he wanted to be a veterinarian. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Animal Science, he went on to attend vet school, graduating from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2003.
Since graduating from vet school, Dr. Pocher has been honing his veterinary skills, working at various small animal practices throughout Massachusetts. He also taught surgical skills to third- and fourth-year veterinary students at the Luke and Lily Lerner Spay/Neuter Clinic at Tufts.
His seasoned pedagogical skills and considerable patience are reflected in Dr. Pocher’s thorough diagnostics and meticulous explanations to clients.
Dr. Pocher has two grown sons, Calvin and Lucas, and shares his home with his wife, Ginger, and their two dogs, Sookie and Syd, along with two snakes and a turtle. When he’s not working, Dr. Pocher enjoys hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors.
